Oswald Chambers called it giving up our right to ourselves. Professor Maxey says it goes beyond relationships and possessions. It is emptying, and it takes time. Rees Howells wept for days before he agreed. The Spirit cannot fill what is not emptied. This is not loss. It is making room.
