Carried forward together
The Network is led by its Conveners and Director, alongside a founding team drawn from WATS alumni and Christian leaders across Lagos.
Rev. Prof. Gary & Dr. Emma Lou Maxey
Founders of the West Africa Theological Seminary and lifelong missionaries to Nigeria, the Maxeys convene the Network they inspired — carrying forward decades of ministry devoted to holiness and sound doctrine.

A WATS alumnus, Pastor Bamidele leads the Network's day-to-day direction. At its launch, he described the initiative as born of deep concern for the Church's spiritual climate — established not for personal prominence, but as a responsibility to preserve and advance Nigeria's evangelical heritage.
Pastor Olufemi Emmanuel, PhD — Provost, WATS
As Provost of the West Africa Theological Seminary, Pastor Emmanuel represents WATS' close partnership with the Network, reaffirming a shared mandate to raise leaders who are biblically equipped, spiritually formed, and committed to Christ-like holiness.
The Network's founding team also includes pastors, ministers, and lay leaders from across Lagos, pictured above at the inauguration. A fuller leadership directory will be published as the Network grows.
