Who May Stand?

Psalm 24:1-6
Verses 1-2The earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord, because he made it. Before anything else is said, we are told who owns the hill. We come to it as guests, not owners.
Verses 3-4Two questions open the way in: who may climb the Lord's hill, and who may stand in his holy place? The answer is a person, not a rank. Clean hands and a pure heart, and no trust in what is false.
Verses 5-6Those who seek him receive his blessing. The psalm calls them the generation that seeks his face.
